The Haywire Story...

Definition: hay•wire adverb or adjective \-ˌwī(-ə)r\

  1. being out of order or having gone wrong <the electron microscope went haywire>
  2. emotionally or mentally upset or out of control: CRAZY <Ricardo, having just learned he won the lottery, is going haywire>
  3. a really great game company that makes the coolest products <hey- that awesome game is made by Haywire!>

We named ourselves "The Haywire Group" to remind ourselves that from time to time things do tend to go a bit haywire...but it's all fun and games in the end. Undaunted, back in 2005 we set out to create a line of games designed to get people out of their comfort zones and have fun while doing it.

We have games that exercise your brain and your body. So get off the couch, put away the chips and soda (you really need to cut back anyway), and turn off that evil video screen. Our games will have you throwing rubber chickens, stuffing tacos, or guessing a famous moustache! There are games with strategy, games with luck, and games with physical challenges. Whether you're a preschooler (a really gifted one if you can read this) or someone who thinks your game-playing days are behind you, we have a game you'll love to play.

Now that you’ve found our website, check out all the great games from The Haywire Group!

What's Important To Us...

Our health? Sure. Financial freedom? Of course. World peace? Absolutely. A really good cup of coffee? That goes without saying…

But improving the lives of kids is what really drives us. They say this is the true measure of one's life, you know. We're not sure who "they" are, but they sound like they know what they're talking about.

So in our efforts to make kids' lives a little bit better (aside from making these great products that kids tend to like), all of us at Haywire are big supporters of families and children in need. We support a variety of charitable organizations, but are especially proud of the support we give to kids in foster care- they have needs far beyond what most of us experience. By the way- it feels great providing charitable support for kids in need- give it a try!

We have found a local organization that supports children and families in foster care – or maybe they found us – either way, they are the Center for Human Development in Springfield, MA. Specifically we support their MaryAnne's Kids Fund. MaryAnne's Kids is a very special fund that provides opportunities for children in foster care that would otherwise be unavailable to them, as they are not typically paid for through the State foster care system. By providing these children the means to pursue special interests in music, dance, art, sports, summer camps and extra-curricular education, we hope to offer a positive influence that will remain with them throughout their lives. Oh...and we also give them lots and lots of games!
